What is the greene room?  Greene Room Personal Training is owned and run by husband and wife team of Mark and Debbie Greene. Former St Kilda footballer Mark Greene has worked in the fitness industry for over 33 years and is well known for his motivational training methods. Over the years as a weight loss coach Mark has helped his clients achieve some phenomenal, life changing results.
Mark started his career in the fitness industry as fitness coach for St Kilda Under 19’s and then went on to own fitness centre’s and gymnasiums before moving west 13 years ago. At GRPT Mark is the ‘Coach’ he is the No 1 fitness trainer and motivator and the creator of ‘Personal Journeys.’

Debbie Greene is a Cert 4 Personal Trainer and Accredited Nutrition Advisor with Fitness Australia as part of the National Exercise Professional Registration Scheme which is the benchmark for fitness industry professional standards across weight loss greene roomeAustralia. Our commitment is to weight loss albanycontinuing education, adhering to the Code of Practice and Ethics which as an exercise professional gives us credibility, portability and protection.  Deb is a qualified Life Guard, Sports Trainer and her passion is helping women feel good about themselves and improve their lives through better health and stronger, fitter bodies. Teaching women to set goals and then to make those goals important and to go after them and achieve them.

What are the basic principals the greene room tries to get across?
Since almost 100% of our clients have weight loss goals we need to explain to clients that losing weight is not easy and it takes time and perseverance to achieve goals. Laila pictured above wanted to be fit and healthy; and with that goal it was simple - lose weight with the help of Mark and Deb Greene she lost  31 kilos in 6 months. And 2 years later she looks fantastic and is fit, healthy and happy. Laila says “ The knowledge I gained with Greene Room Personal Training is something I will keep for life, and I totally recommend that you let them help you”.

 

  • GOAL SETTING – Perhaps the most important step is helping our clients establish personal goals that are both realistic and achievable.
  • Our JOURNAL -  All our clients receive their own personal journal and we ask that they record all their food and drink, physical activity and thoughts.
  • NUTRITION - People don’t get to be 10, 20 or 50 kilos overweight if their diet is all good. We look very closely at nutrition and this is the ‘hard bit’ Deb Greene’s expertise in helping people modify their diets to enable weight loss to occur.
  • EXERCISE – Coach Mark Greene is the key motivator of our carefully planned sessions, which are personalized to each individual client.  Mark is ‘at home’ with the most unfit beginner or high performance training with an athlete
  • BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION  is crucial and when breaking any well-established habit, self discipline or will power is the key. The most important component of a weight-control program is YOU. You must genuinely want to lose weight, and you must take the major responsibility for achieving your goals.  You must be convinced that reduced body weight, and a fitter, leaner body will enhance your life, and you must establish this goal as a high priority.  You must be able to tolerate some discomfort as you make life-style changes.

At 62 yrs Ned was morbidly obese, with high blood pressure and cholesterol, greatly reduced mobility, very poor fitness and Type 2 Diabetes.  On his GP’s advice he came to see us.  We have managed Ned’s health and fitness over the past 12 months, and in this time he has lost 40 kilos. He is now a very fit and healthy 63 year old.
